Leeds have tabled offer for another player after Aaronson £15million bid
Leeds United have tabled a bid for a second player and are confident of strengthening their squad this month, according to David Anderson.
The Mirror journalist reported on Tuesday (18 January) night on his personal Twitter account that the Whites have offered £15million for Red Bull Salzburg forward Brenden Aaronson, but the club turned it down.
Nevertheless, Leeds remain keen on the 21-year-old USA international and believe they can prise him away from the Austrian Bundesliga champions before the end of the month.

Anderson said: “Victor Orta is being busy and Leeds have also tabled a bid for a second as of yet unidentified player.”
Good news
It is less than two weeks before the winter transfer window shuts, and the west Yorkshire outfit have sprung into action.
It is unknown whether they plan to return with an improved offer for Aaronson, but they have also tabled a bid for someone else.
While the position and name have not been revealed, Orta is likely looking at yet another central midfielder.
Anderson reported last week (11 January) that Leeds director of football is looking at three or four central midfielders in the hope of landing at least one.
He is said to be waiting until the final days of the transfer window when clubs, players and agents become more amenable before making a move, and it appears that is what is happening.

With Kalvin Phillips injured and Adam Forshaw sustaining a knock against West Ham on Sunday, midfield is a position the Whites badly need to strengthen.
It appears things are set to get very busy at Elland Road in the coming days, and fans cannot wait to see who the first senior team signing will be.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites want to sign int’l striker on loan with move already made.
