Leeds first-teamer shares clip of himself wearing Juventus shirt on Instagram
Leeds United attacker Tyler Roberts has taken to Instagram to share a clip of himself wearing a Juventus shirt.
Roberts, 21, has found first-team opportunities limited this season due to a number of different injury issues but the Wales international has remained key for Marcelo Bielsa and made 14 Championship appearances.
He’s only started four times in the league but still managed to hit the back of the net three times with a strike against QPR in November and a brace away at Hull in February.
While Roberts’ form probably isn’t eye-catching enough to attract the attention of Serie A titans Juventus, it hasn’t stopped him from sporting the famous black and white kit in a recent Instagram story.
Roberts wrote it’s a “perfect day for one of these” as he ate an ice cream in the clip.
Interestingly, Juventus’ kit is supplied by Adidas and it has been widely reported that Leeds’ next kit will be manufactured by the German sportswear company.
Marcelo Bielsa was recently spotted wearing an Adidas jacket while the club also instructed players to use the Adidas running app while they were training at home.
We wonder if Roberts might have been told to only wear Adidas gear in his social media posts now, unless it is Leeds’ Kappa-branded sportswear.
Leeds will ditch Kappa to replace them with Adidas but that change will not come into effect until the 2019/20 season ends.
In other Leeds United news, West Brom can have the title if this is what Leeds are forced to do.
