Leeds’ final Premier League position predicted by supercomputer after deadline day let-down
Leeds United endured a disappointing conclusion to the summer transfer window as no new signings were announced on deadline day.
Leeds were linked with Fulham’s Harry Wilson and Sheffield United’s Gus Hamer, but ultimately no deals materialised before the 7pm deadline on 1 September.
While player exits were sanctioned at Elland Road, with Darko Gyabi one of those to leave Leeds on deadline day, Daniel Farke was not able to get the additional attacker or two he craved.
Farke must now work with what he has until January 1 when the transfer window reopens, but many fear the quality is just not enough to keep Leeds in the division.

Leeds predicted to avoid relegation from Premier League
On the field, Leeds have started their campaign pretty impressively with a win, a draw and a loss from their opening three matches.
Leeds’ 1-0 win over Everton at Elland Road on the opening matchday was a superb way to start the season, followed by an admittedly poor 5-0 loss to Arsenal and a 0-0 stalemate against Newcastle United.
Leeds currently sit 12th as one of four teams on four points, which is a positive return considering the quality of opposition faced so far.
And despite fans being annoyed by events on deadline day, Opta Analyst‘s updated supercomputer has Leeds to avoid the drop this season.
Leeds are predicted to finish 17th, which may just be one place above the relegation zone but is something United fans would surely take right now.

Which sides are predicted to be relegated from Premier League?
Wolves, Burnley and Sunderland are predicted to go down in 18th, 19th and 20th respectively by Opta’s supercomputer.
Position | Team |
17th | Leeds United |
18th | Wolves |
19th | Burnley |
20th | Sunderland |
Leeds have a predicted points return of 38.89 come the end of the season, compared to 36.93 for Wolves.
It leaves Farke’s side with a 40.64 per cent chance of being relegated which, again, many supporters would surely take.
Ultimately, the Whites made some impressive signings during the summer, with Anton Stach looking a superb signing for Leeds.
It is now down to Farke and his players to get enough points on the board to ensure it is not a swift return to the second tier.
