Leeds United earned a superb point against Liverpool on Monday night – but that was nowhere near the biggest talking point at Elland Road.
While Marcelo Bielsa would have no doubt wanted to focus just on the game, which ended 1-1, there was no way that the announcement of the European Super League was going to avoid the discussion.
It also had a massive impact on the atmosphere despite there being no fans as when Liverpool’s team bus arrived at Elland Road, it was serenaded by a Leeds fan playing ‘Money Money Money’ by ABBA.
Liverpool board the team coach to tunes of ‘Money Money Money’ by ABBA, played on a trombone…

A video clip of the excellent piece of trolling has since gone viral on Twitter – and we can see why.
This is brilliant but Leeds fans need to remember that this isn’t the fault of the players, the management, the ESL clubs’ fans or even the clubs themselves.
It’s all down to the owners.
Liverpool’s owners, as well as those of the other clubs in the ESL, are a disgrace to football.
If they push ahead with their fans they will not only be damaging English and European football, they will also be damaging their clubs beyond repair.
Imagine if you supported a team in the ESL as passionately as you support Leeds. How must you be feeling right now when the idea of the ESL is so universally despised?
Imagine seeing your team booted out of the Premier League and Champions League due to the greed of the club’s owners.
It’s absolutely horrific.
Please direct your anger at those owners, not rivals fans, players or managers.
We saw from Jurgen Klopp on Monday night how he was left in the dark and it felt as though he’d been thrown under the bus in front of the media.
In other Leeds United news, this Yorkshire-born pundit has been waxing lyrical about a “fantastic” attacker who’s been linked with the Whites.
