Ally McCoist was left in stitches after a Leeds United fan delivered a brilliant quip about Man United on Wednesday morning.

They squeaked past West Ham in extra time in the FA Cup after a goalless draw on Tuesday night and it was a dour game with little quality or desire shown from either side.

Talking on the Breakfast show (talkSPORT, Wednesday, 7am) Laura Woods was talking about the FA Cup game and said, "We had a Leeds fan, Geoff, get in touch and he said 'I watched the Man United v West Ham game and it was so boring some of the cardboard cutouts left early.'"

McCoist burst into laughter and eventually managed to get out, "Good one, Geoff, I really like it."

Man United rested a lot of their star players for the game, including Bruno Fernandes.

Jason Cundy claimed that Man United "were there for the taking" and that David Moyes could have done a lot more to win the game and claim a place in the quarter-finals.

Don't mention the FA Cup!

It's a great quip, there's no doubt, but what's that adage about glass houses and stones?

Leeds might be the Premier League's arch entertainers but we absolutely stunk the stage out in the FA Cup.

In our worst performance of the season, we lost 3-0 to a Crawley side who couldn't believe how the game panned out.

Bielsa has always talked a good game in the FA Cup but that's never translated onto the pitch and we've never won a game in the competition since he arrived.

Having said that, if we had the chance to get into the quarter-finals, like Man United and West Ham did last night, we're sure that we'd show a little more passion and desire.

If nothing else, we'd attack and go for the win.

The fact that Leeds are now seen as the entertainers in the Premier League must hurt Man United, and especially their fans – even the cardboard cutouts are walking out.
