Leeds FA Cup third round guide: How to watch, ball numbers, dates and who Daniel Farke’s men could play
The FA Cup third round draw is set to take place on Monday, with Leeds United entering the competition.
While Leeds will be concentrating on staying in the Premier League this season, the FA Cup could be a welcome distraction for supporters.
Daniel Farke’s side are already out of the Carabao Cup, going out on penalties to Sheffield Wednesday in what was a humiliating result.
However, the FA Cup presents an opportunity to go far in another competition, which could potentially result in silverware.
Below, MOT Leeds News has provided everything you need to know about the upcoming draw.

How to livestream the FA Cup third round draw?
This year, the FA Cup draw is set to be broadcast live on TNT Sports 1.
The draw is set to take place at 6:45pm and will happen before the final round two game between Brackley Town and Burton Albion.
For those without a TNT Sports subscription, the draw is set to be live-streamed for free through the official FA Cup social media and YouTube channels.
What ball number are Leeds United and who could they play?
Leeds United will enter into the third round alongside the rest of the Premier League and Championship teams.
Farke’s side will be ball number 19 and will be looking to go further this season in the competition after being knocked out in the fourth round by Millwall in the last campaign, after a 2-0 defeat.
Leeds could face several potential derbies in the FA Cup, with both Sheffield teams in the draw with numbers 33 and 34.
- Leeds have struggled in the FA Cup in recent years
- Five of their last eight entries have seen them crash out in the third round
- The furthest Leeds have got in the 21st century was the quarter-finals in the 2002-03 season
Manchester United are also ball number 23 in what could be a tasty clash if drawn.
There are also several non-league sides still in the hat, with Weston-super-Mare and Macclesfield being the lowest ranked, with both teams in tier six. Their numbers are 49 and 45, respectively.
When will the FA Cup third round take place?
Despite the third round draw taking place in December, the games will not actually commence until the new year.
The fixtures are scheduled to happen around the weekend commencing Saturday, 10 January 2026.
However, it may take a few days after the draw for the dates of the fixtures to be confirmed, with broadcasters needing to decide which games to show live.
