Leeds duo Stuart Dallas and Raphinha named in Premier League Top 100 list

Leeds duo Stuart Dallas and Raphinha have been named in FourFourTwo magazine’s Top 100 Premier League players for the season.

The Whites duo have been key players for the Elland Road club this season, but haven’t been able to stop them falling into a big relegation trap just two points above the drop zone.

But according to a list published by FourFourTwo, despite the lowly league position this season the two Leeds stars have been good enough to earn their place in the top 100 performers so far.

Dallas has been a regular in defence and midfield this season, just sneaking into the list at number 96, while Raphinha was listed inside the top ten.

The Brazilian has scored nine goals and registered two assists this season in the Premier League, and is the club’s top scorer despite currently being on a run of just one goal in ten games.

Recognition

It’s nice to see that Leeds are being recognised for having top level players in their squad, despite the fact they’re largely underperforming this season.

Kalvin Phillips and Patrick Bamford would likely have been included somewhere in the list too if injuries hadn’t hampered their season to such an extent too, which shows the quality of the squad.

But with Jesse Marsch coming in to replace Marcelo Bielsa to help them battle against relegation, it’s clear which players he will have to rely on in the final run-in.

If Raphinha can get back to his form which saw him score eight league goals by February then they will have a much better chance of staying in the top flight.

He’s also likely to leave the club this summer with lots of interest because of his performances since joining the club from Rennes in the summer of 2020, so a final parting gift would be a nice way to say goodbye to fans.
