Leeds ‘anger’ revealed as multiple Kinnear allies to quit Elland Road for Everton
Leeds United are facing further disappointment in the wake of Angus Kinnear’s move to Everton this summer.
Amid all the good things Daniel Farke and Co are doing on the pitch, Leeds have been having unexpected changes behind the scenes, with Gretar Steinsson among those leaving their roles earlier this season.
Kinnear is going to be the latest high-profile exit at Elland Road as the Whites’ CEO of eight years is confirmed to take charge in the same role at Everton starting 1 June.
While Peter McCormick has been hired as a non-executive director to facilitate the transition between Kinnear and the next permanent appointment, the West Yorkshire outfit intend to review their management structure.

Kinnear to raid Leeds after Everton switch
Meanwhile, Leeds could be set for more changes to their backroom team as Kinnear plans to orchestrate an exodus at Elland Road, according to the Sun on Sunday (page 53, 9 March).
The departing CEO wants to take two or three of his allies with him to Everton in a move that may anger the Elland Road outfit ahead of their potential return to the Premier League.
Name | Role | Status |

Gretar Steinsson | Technical Director | Joined 49ers as Technical Director |

The newspaper reported that there is ‘trouble brewing’ over the number of the staff that Kinnear wants to take to the Merseyside-based club when he joins them at the end of the season.
It remains to be seen who are the staff members that the former Arsenal and West Ham official has earmarked to take with him, although Leeds are certain to be disappointed.

McCormick to work with Kinnear
In the meantime, Kinnear will work with McCormick at Thorp Arch between now and the end of the season as he finishes up his stint with Leeds.
There are no updates regarding who the Whites’ next CEO will be, with promoting from within or hiring someone new being plausible options.
Adam Pope has mooted the possibility of the 49ers using Elevate, a consulting company helmed by their president Al Guido, to appoint a new CEO.
