Leeds ace Mateusz Klich responds to European Super League announcement

Leeds United midfielder Mateusz Klich strongly opposes the introduction of the European Super League.

Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham are six of the 12 clubs who’ve agreed to join the ESL, causing massive shockwaves across European football.

Leeds owner Andrea Radrizzani has already suggested he is against the idea and Klich clearly does too with the Poland international taking a swipe at the ESL clubs for only caring about money.

Klich was asked to “speak up” on the matter by a Leeds fan on Twitter.

On Monday afternoon, Klich replied with an image of a banner which said: “Created by the poor, stolen by the rich.”

Good man, Mateusz

Football is ruined.

That’s nothing new to a lot of people who might read this but this will be the final nail in the coffin for some supporters out there.

Football should be something that brings joy to people but instead, the news about football in general over recent years has been bleak and negative.

Whether it’s the introduction of VAR, horrific online (and direct) racism and sexism or the wrecking ball of money, the game simply isn’t what it used to be.

Sure, football has always had its issues. But have you ever tuned in to watch a television match or go on Twitter to look at the latest football news and ever seen so much negative stuff?

If the ESL goes ahead then let those clubs be. But if they do, they are rubbishing the true values of English football.

If they don’t think anyone should be involved in the ESL other than themselves, we don’t think they should be involved in anything else.

In other Leeds United news, this “fantastic” Leeds-linked ace had a pundit drooling over his performance at the weekend.
