Leeds 26-year-old sends Instagram message to Paul Pogba, shares video of them training together
Ouasim Bouy has been a mystery to Leeds United fans because he’s been on the books at Elland Road for two-and-a-half years now and is yet to make a first-team appearance.
The 26-year-old midfielder was snapped up during Victor Orta’s first summer as director of football and many would have thought he’d have a role to play in West Yorkshire.
He’d played for Juventus, Ajax and the Netherlands Under-19s but his career has come to a screeching halt this season, despite still being a Leeds player.
The Athletic reported last month that Bouy isn’t even in the country at the moment and has been training by himself, away from Marcelo Bielsa’s squad.
And if Bouy’s latest Instagram post is anything to go by, it seems that he has been keeping himself fit with none other than Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba.
Bouy shared several clips of him and Pogba working up a sweat together to celebrate the France international’s 27th birthday.
“Happy birthday to my bro,” said Bouy via his personal Instagram account. “Wish you all the best in life my G and may Allah bless you more and more.
“Besides all the laughter and fun we always have – we know when its time to be serious and motivate each other. That is what defines us! Bless you, my brother, enjoy life.”
Pogba has been a mystery to Man United fans this season with the ex-Juventus star appearing just eight times in all competitions due to injury and fitness issues.
It seems that both he and Bouy have been making efforts together to keep themselves fit during rough patches of their careers.
