Lee Sobot doesn't believe the injuries to Diego Llorente, Pascal Struijk, and Joe Gelhardt are serious

Lee Sobot has shared his verdict on the injuries that Leeds United trio Diego Llorente, Pascal Struijk, and Joe Gelhardt have suffered.

He claimed that he will “ask Marcelo” before the Whites play Manchester United but that in his opinion, “none of them looked too bad” which could be a positive update.

Llorente was substituted off against Real Betis, as was Struijk, while Gelhardt left the field early against Guiseley so there were understandable fears over all three, but Sobot sounds positive.

The Yorkshire Evening Post journalist took to his personal Twitter account early this morning to share his verdict.

Will Leeds be without all three for the opening game of the season?

It is hard to tell if any of this trio will make the first game of the season against the Red Devils, but you would hope that the likes of Llorente and Struijk are available.

Llorente, in particular, had a horrible campaign last year with injury plaguing his first season in England. However, when he started to play regularly, the Whites only conceded ten goals in the 13 games that he played at the end of the campaign.

So, he could be a huge player for Leeds this season, and you just have to hope that he is not injured too badly.

Struijk was also important last season and impressed as the year went on, so you would also have to hope that he is fine as well.

Gelhardt wasn’t as involved in the first team as either Llorente or Struijk last season, but he is a player with a bright future, and hopefully, this injury doesn’t hold him back too much [Planet Football].

We will have to see what Bielsa says about all three, but Sobot sounds positive, and that’s a good sign.

In other Leeds United news, the Whites are pushing hard to sign a Champions League duo.
