Laura Woods: Mauricio Pochettino loves talkSPORT as Leeds United job mooted
Laura Woods has shared that Mauricio Pochettino loves talkSPORT as Leeds United fans continue to call for his appointment at Elland Road.
Jesse Marsch was relieved of his duties on Monday 06 February with the Whites only one place above the relegation zone in the Premier League, with the search already underway.
A Leeds fan passionately called for Pochettino to take over on talkSPORT, with Woods urging him to send a message directly to the man himself if he was listening.

Speaking live on talkSPORT, as shared on Twitter, [07 February] Woods urged the caller to send a passionate plea to the out-of-work South American, who loves to listen in.
“Do me a favour, because Mauricio Pochettino loves talkSPORT,” she said.
“So, would you just give him a little, kind of, idea why you think he should join Leeds.”
Sam, the Leeds fan, managed to even throw a dig at Spurs as he tried to sell the move to Pochettino, who may well be in the running at Elland Road.
“I think he’s got definitely more chance of winning a trophy at Leeds than he did at Spurs, I can tell you that for sure, even if it’s a long-term plan.
“Even if it takes him two years, Leeds is a massive club, it just needs the right man in charge.”
Listening?
Imagine the scenes if Pochettino was to be announced at Elland Road.
Of course, we may be getting ahead of ourselves, but there have been slim pickings in the world of football management since his departure from Paris Saint-Germain.
Could the long-term project of the 49ers, an exciting young team and money to spend be the catalyst for the South American to take the plunge and sign on that dotted line?
A quick phone call with his idol and hero Marcelo Bielsa could be enough to convince him too, and as we all know, anything can happen in football.
Returning to the Premier League has to be on his agenda one day, and given his Spurs links, a role in London may not be something he fancies to hurt that legacy.
Leeds are a huge club, bigger than most in the Premier League and it just needs the right man in charge to take them to the next level, could Poch be that man?
