Last-minute twist claim made as Leeds United midfielder set for Real Betis transfer
Leeds United midfielder Marc Roca is reportedly set to join Real Betis this summer on loan barring any last-minute unexpected twists.
According to El Desmarque [1 June], the La Liga side have been tracking since his days at Bayern Munich.
Now that Leeds have got relegated, it makes things easier for him to leave them and join Betis on a temporary basis.

Good riddance
Roca did not do well under Marcelo Bielsa or Jesse Marsch and there’s nothing to suggest that he will do well for the Whites in the future.
The Spaniard may be technical, but his positional awareness has been exposed and so has his work rate and most Leeds fans would not care if he leaves.
It remains to be seen if the Whites can get a decent transfer fee, as an obligation to buy for the 26-year-old as he’s in demand from a club in the Spanish top flight.

The Whites need to bring in another midfielder this summer as Tyler Adams may also leave and Weston McKennie will also not be at the club.
They need to raise funds so should look to try making this a permanent move or at least include a decent loan fee in the deal.
However, it seems certain that even at the end of this loan spell, he will not be given a chance to return to the first team at Leeds.
In other Leeds United news, the club have been handed a boost to sign a Manchester United player this summer with Erik ten Hag likely to sanction his exit.
