Largie Ramazani injury latest as Leeds United loanee hit by cruel blow

Largie Ramazani left Leeds United on loan over the summer to join La Liga outfit Valencia.

With it being evident that Daniel Farke did not fancy the Belgian winger, the decision was taken by the 49ers and Co. to allow Ramazani to leave Elland Road.

This comes despite Ramazani racking up eight goal contributions in just 807 total minutes in the Championship last season as the Whites won promotion to the top flight.

With Dan James starting the season poorly, this could be a decision that Leeds ultimately come to regret, but the latest update regarding Ramazani coming out of Spain is not a positive one.

Largie Ramazani picks up ankle injury at Valencia

Patrick Bamford could join Ramazani in La Liga, with the former United striker being linked with a move to Getafe.

Since joining Valencia, Ramazani has made three substitute appearances under former Leeds assistant manager Carlos Corberan.

The winger’s wait for a start continues, with Corberan confirming in his press conference ahead of their clash with Espanyol that Ramazani was “a doubt” after he “he suffered a knock to his ankle.”

Indeed, the game came around too soon for the 24-year-old, who was an unused substitute in the 2-2 draw.

Leeds need Ramazani to have a fruitful loan spell

With Ramazani set to return to West Yorkshire next summer, it is in Leeds’ best interests that the winger impresses.

If Farke is still the manager, Ramazani will likely be sold, but an impressive season in La Liga will only raise his stock.

However, if the German manager was sacked for whatever reason, the new appointment would likely want to assess Ramazani with a view to reintegrating him back into the squad, regardless of what division the Whites find themselves in next season.
