Kun Temenuzhkov sends passionate message on Twitter as Leeds United exit nears
Kun Temenuzhkov has confirmed more or less on Twitter that he is leaving Leeds United this summer.
In a passionate message, the 22-year-old has shared his gratitude to all the members of the club who have helped him grow.
He was signed by Victor Orta from Barcelona in 2017, but he failed to make an impact at Elland Road.
Temenuzhkov wrote on Twitter: “I only have words of thanks to all the members and people of Leeds. Thanks for the support during all these years I have grown both as a player and as a person I will be eternally grateful to all your love and even if our paths separate I will follow all the games from home.”
In his first season at the club, he featured regularly for Carlos Corberan’s Under-23 side, where he showed his versatility playing as a striker as also as an attacking midfielder.
His impressive performances in 2018-19 earned him a debut when he came on a sub in the 2-1 defeat against Queens Park Rangers in the third round of the FA Cup.
However, his growth was halted in an unfortunate way. He joined La Nucia for a short loan spell, but it was paused mid-way due to the Covid outbreak.
He spent loans at Real Union in the Segunda B division for the past two seasons, and it seems his time at Leeds has come to an end.
Temenuzhkov wanted to fight for his place at Elland Road, but Jesse Marsch feels that he is probably not good enough at this level, certainly not at Leeds.
We wish him good luck on his next move.
