Kris Boyd reacts to Leeds United takeover talks live on Sky Sports
Kris Boyd has labelled the current behind-the-scenes takeover talks at Leeds United as a “basket case” live on Sky Sports on Sunday (28 May).
L’Equipe reported on 25 May that Radrizzani had teamed up with Qatar Sports Investment in his attempts to buy Sampdoria, which would, in turn, bring his spell as owner at Elland Road to a close.
Speaking live on Sky Sports Soccer Saturday, Boyd addressed the takeover situation at Elland Road, with the 49ers Enterprises in talks to lower the previous valuation of £500million as a Premier League club.

“You get the feeling that behind the scenes, there are talks of a takeover,” he said. (03:35)
“It just seems to be a basket case at the minute, it needs to be addressed.”

Utter shambles
Leeds United have been a sinking ship over the last two years under the guidance of Radrizzani, and it seems like he has finally seen his last season at the helm in West Yorkshire.
With the 49ers poised to complete the takeover of the club and the Italian looking to try and invest in Sampdoria, it seems like a change at the top of the club is the best move for all parties involved.
The failure to back Marcelo Bielsa adequately in the transfer market and then the poor recruitment in the last two windows under Jesse Marsch left the Whites with a squad that simply wasn’t up to Premier League standards.
The fact that Leeds are still relying heavily on the likes of Patrick Bamford, Luke Ayling and Adam Forshaw highlights the poor leadership at Elland Road and the lack of forward-thinking that Radrizzani has instilled.
A full takeover by the 49ers should allow the Whites to turn over a new leaf and move forward in a new direction.
It seems only a matter of time now.
In other Leeds United news, a Premier League club could launch a bid for a Whites sensation after a late-May cash development.
