Karen Carney delivers ‘horrible’ Premier League relegation prediction with Leeds United, Everton and Leicester in battle

Karen Carney believes that Leeds United and Leicester City will be getting relegated from the Premier League, with Everton staying up.

Ahead of the Newcastle v Leicester game, she believes that it’s going to be hard for the Foxes to beat the Champions League chasing top four club on Monday, 22 May.

The Toffees face Bournemouth on the final day and will have their destiny in their hands if Leicester fail to win.

She said on the Kelly and Wrighty Show [22 May, 14:54], “It’s going to be tough v Newcastle. With Bournemouth [v Everton], it depends on what mood they’re in. It’s horrible to be in it if you are fans but it’s hard to call between Everton, Leeds or Leicester.

“I fancy Everton against Bournemouth, they’ll be switched off. So I’m with Shay, I think Leeds and Leicester will be going down.”

Miracle needed

Leeds need plenty of things to go their way and they also need to beat Spurs on the final day to secure their status in the Premier League.

While the North London side have been horrible in the past few months, they’ve got world class players who can win games singlehandedly.

It could be Harry Kane’s last game for them so he’s going to be reinvigorated and keen on going out with a bang, at the expense of Leeds.

The Whites’ defence have done little in the past few weeks to assure fans that they will do enough to keep Spurs at bay.

Their only hope will be to edge an early goal and then park the bus for the rest of the game as this Spurs side struggles against low blocks.

That being said, it’s still going to require a miracle for Leeds to be a Premier League side next season.

In other Leeds United news, Phil Hay claims that an international player at Elland Road has no place at the club next season and a summer transfer is on the cards.
