Kalvin Phillips sends message of support to Leeds United teammate Stuart Dallas after devastating injury
Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips has given his support to teammate Stuart Dallas after his horrific injury against Manchester City.
It has been confirmed the Northern Irishman fractured his femoral bone in the challenge with Jack Grealish and now faces a long recovery with scans in London planned.
It’s a devastating blow for player and club and Phillips took time to wish the 31-year-old well as he begins his rehabilitation phase.
“Killed me so much to see you in so much pain,” Phillips wrote on Instagram (1 May).
“You don’t deserve this but you will be back stronger.
“Man of the people.”

Tough to Take
Leeds’ difficulties with injuries this season have been well documented and whilst they certainly have impacted some big players there’s arguably no one whose absence causes the most problems than Dallas.
He has been Mr reliable for the club ever since Marcelo Bielsa first arrived in 2018, playing a whole host of different positions and barely missing a game as he shrugged off multiple knocks to ensure he was out on the pitch helping the team.
His versatility has been crucial as injuries have taken their toll on the first-team squad and this horror injury gives a huge headache for Jesse Marsch for the rest of the season.
More than that though it is such a shame to see a player adored by fans for his dedication and application suffer such a debilitating problem, particularly after the extremely difficult personal circumstances which he has already had to deal with this year.
As every Leeds fan will we join Phillips in sending Dallas out best wishes and hoping we can see him back out at Elland Road soon.
