Juventus wave goodbye to Weston McKennie as talks continue for Leeds United transfer

Juventus are set to bid farewell to Weston McKennie as he closes in on a late January transfer to Leeds United, according to Marco Conterio.

The TuttoMercatoWeb journalist has reported that the Italian side are happy to lower their price with the American international having already said yes to the move.

With the fee between the two clubs the final hurdle, Juventus are now also ready to lower their asking price in order to get a deal done in these final days.

Writing on his personal Twitter account, Conterio shared the latest with the deal now on the verge of being completed between the two clubs.

“New contacts, Juventus and Leeds for Weston McKennie,” he wrote.

“In Premier, the player has already said yes to the English, Juve bid farewell and are ready to lower the request from €35million [£30.7million].”

Here We Go.

Despite conflicting reports flying everywhere in the past 48 hours, it looks as though Leeds United are finally going to get their man in the final days of this window.

Jesse Marsch will be delighted, the 49ers will be happy, and Tyler Adams will also have a grin on his face as his international partner in crime gets set for Elland Road.

Leeds are finally going to have a solid midfield three, something we haven’t been able to say for years and years, with the likes of Jack Harrison weirdly playing there in recent weeks.

With Mateusz Klich leaving to move to DC United, Victor Orta was always going to have his eye on the market to see if anyone would come available and it has happened.

The Spaniard is always ready to jump into action, and it looks as though Leeds are going to win this race despite the likes of Arsenal and Spurs being linked heavily too.

Let’s get this done, now.
