Juventus midfielder Weston McKennie rejects Fulham, Aston Villa and Bournemouth amid Leeds United links
Juventus midfielder Weston McKennie has reportedly turned down an approach from Aston Villa as he favours moving to Leeds United.
According to Calciomercato [25 January], the United States international fancies a move to Elland Road and Arsenal are also keen on signing him.
It’s understood that a fee in the region of £27million will be enough for the Whites to secure the services of the 24-year-old.
Aston Villa and Fulham are both owned by billionaires so giving Adams a high salary was not out of the question.
However, it seems like he wants to move to Leeds United and join the American contingent that Jesse Marsch has established.
He knows Tyler Adams and Brenden Aaronson well and that certainly will have played a major role in making up his mind.
It remains to be seen if Arsenal can now hijack the move and if they’re actually serious about pursuing his services this month.
Juventus do look like they’re open to cashing in on the 24-year-old and Leeds have the money to get this deal done.
Hopefully, Andrea Radrizzani does not back out of this move as he has done in the past with few targets as McKennie will be an important addition in midfield and will offer Marsch tactical fluidity that he’ll need.
