‘Really lazy’ – Big-name TV star lays boot into Leeds star in latest pundit assault

Leeds United fan favourite Stuart Dallas has come in for some crazy criticism from big-name TV pundits Don Hutchison and Dion Dublin.

Dublin labelled the selfless star, who plays everywhere on the pitch, ‘really lazy’ after Leeds United were comprehensively beaten by Tottenham at the weekend.

Hutchinson and Dublin were discussing Saturday’s match in North London on Optus Sport’s The Weekend review.

In particular, they focused on a lack of effort and commitment, with Hutchinson saying: “If you’re Dallas, put an arm across Son’s chest and run goalside of him.”

“Don’t foul him, just put your hand out, fob him off, outmuscle him, don’t let him run across you. Just too naive isn’t it?”

Dublin added: “Just lazy isn’t it, really lazy.”

Unfair criticism

Wow. We’re gobsmacked that Hutchinson and Dublin have taken this approach in their analysis of the game.

Not only was Son’s movement world-class, as Gary Neville alluded to, but his pace to get onto a brilliant pass was basically impossible to stop.

Dallas had a tricky job to keep the winger quiet but he did well for much of the game despite Leeds’ expansive style.

An average WhoScored rating of 6.8 means the versatile player is performing well this season, and his displays have rightly made him a fan favourite.

It isn’t right to single him out for failing to stop one of the Premier League’s best players and one of the words you can’t use to describe any Leeds player, let alone Dallas, is lazy.

We might not always win but we always run our hearts out.

If anyone is being lazy here, it’s Dublin in his analysis.

In other Leeds United news, the anniversary of Andrea Radrizzani’s first investment in the club has led to a celebration of the owner.
