‘Just another game’ – Leeds ace isn’t getting carried away ahead of Man Utd clash

Leeds United ace Stuart Dallas isn’t getting caught up in the excitement ahead of his side’s weekend clash against Manchester United.

Sunday’s game is the pick of the weekend as two old rivals face off in the Premier League for the first time since 2004.

Speaking before the game, Dallas claimed that he is treating the tie the same as he would with any other match but acknowledged the significance of the game ahead of Sunday’s trip to Old Trafford.

Dallas is quoted by the official Leeds United website as saying, “We know how significant the game is and how big it is. But at the end of the day, it’s just another game, we need to concentrate and make sure we’re prepared for it.

“We know how good they are and the threat they pose. It’s a pity there will be no fans in the stadium, we’ve all waited a long time for this.

“It’s the bread and butter as you call it, well we do where I am from anyway! It’s huge, it’s one we’re really looking forward to and hopefully, we can go there and pull out a performance.”

Dallas will be looking to continue his fine individual form after scoring his side’s third goal in the 5-2 win over Newcastle through the week.

The result was a much-needed win for Marcelo Bielsa’s side and it will give everyone associated with the club a huge boost ahead of what is arguably their biggest game of the season.

This is the game that many Leeds fans will have looked for as soon as the fixtures for this season were announced and it is likely that many Whites players will have been relishing the chance to play at Old Trafford as soon as promotion was secured last season.

Leeds’ recent poor form will all be forgotten if the side can recreate the goalscoring form they managed against Newcastle when they travel to Manchester.

Man United have only won once at Old Trafford in the Premier League this season and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be worried as his side’s defence has been far from impressive this term.

Dallas might claim that Sunday’s match is ‘just another game’, but everyone knows that it is much more important than that.
