Jurgen Klopp mooted to advise Leeds United boss Daniel Farke after development

Jurgen Klopp could end up advising Leeds United manager Daniel Farke, according to Robbie Fowler.

Klopp has been hired as the global head of soccer at Red Bull, who became minority shareholders and front-of-shirt sponsors at Leeds earlier this year.

The energy drink giants own football clubs all over the world with the likes of Salzburg in Austria, Leipzig in Germany as well as clubs in Brazil and the United States and Klopp’s new role will see him advise their network of football teams.

Writing in the print edition of the Sunday Mirror (October 13 pg 79), ex-Leeds and Liverpool striker Fowler said: “What are the chances of seeing Jurgen (Klopp) passing on some advice to Daniel Farke up at Thorp Arch anytime soon?”

Jurgen Klopp potential involvement at Leeds United could spell good news

While it is still yet to be seen whether Klopp will actually have any involvement with Leeds, the potential is certainly interesting and could be one to keep a close eye on in the future.

After all, his new employer has taken a minority ownership stake in the Championship club.

Should Leeds enter the fold, Klopp’s experience could prove invaluable to Farke who has overseen a solid start to the season for the Whites but still has a lot to learn in management.

Leeds currently occupy fifth in the Championship following their draw against Sunderland in the previous fixture and a return to the Premier League is certainly their ambition for the season and with the level of quality in the squad, they remain one of the favourites.

Leeds have also been touted to use their Red Bull connections this January in regards to bringing players in to boost their promotion hopes as reported by Leeds All Over.

In other Leeds news, the Whites are strongly considering an out-of-window transfer swoop.
