Jurgen Klopp makes Leeds United and Arsenal admission amid injury to Liverpool attacker Luis Diaz

Jurgen Klopp confirms Liverpool attacker Luis Diaz will be back for the game against Leeds United on 17 April and could return v Arsenal as well.

The Colombian winger has been missing in action since mid-October through injury and has been on the path to recovery.

The Gunners could be the first team he faces on return, but if not them, he will surely be ready to face the Whites at Elland Road in April.

Speaking to the Liverpool official website, Klopp said, “Next week will be an important week for him; this week he was doing parts of training, next week I think most of the things he can do. Then we will see. Maybe [ready for] Arsenal but more likely Leeds after that.”

Tough run of games?

Leeds travel to Arsenal on Saturday, 1 April, in a game that few expect them to get anything from, given how well the Gunners have done this season.

While Javi Gracia would love nothing more than to get a win and dent their title hopes, he knows that his side is going to be up against it.

They do have another big side in Liverpool in the middle of that, but before that, they’ve got two games sandwiched in between and they’re ones they certainly would consider winning.

They’ve got Nottingham Forest at home and then a struggling Crystal Palace side at Selhurst Park and they surely must target four points from these two games.

Anything they pick up from Arsenal and Liverpool will be a bonus but they are in a decent position to avoid the drop if they carry on playing like how they have.

Hopefully, they do not suffer any more injuries but that is unfortunately something that keeps happening and Gracia is going to have to deal with it.

In other Leeds United news, the Whites may now be able to land a target they made an approach for in January with his club now waiting for £20million offer.
