Jurgen Klopp: James Milner warns of ‘outstanding’ Leeds atmosphere

Liverpool are the latest visitors to Leeds United on Sunday in the Premier League, with Elland Road set to be packed yet again.

The atmosphere and scenes during the 2-2 draw against Everton were sensational before the international break.

Jurgen Klopp has addressed the press ahead of the trip to Yorkshire, and he has been asked about the atmosphere.

Ian Doyle has shared his response on his personal Twitter account, including what James Milner has told the German about Elland Road.

“Everybody tells me atmosphere (at Leeds) is outstanding so I’m really looking forward to it,” he said.

“We have people like Millie who can tell us. But the game will be tricky anyway. They have a specific way of playing with man-marking idea and very flexible and brave in possession.”

Outstanding.

There has always been a sense around Elland Road that Milner will return before he retires at Liverpool.

Fitness would be no issue, with it being no secret that the veteran is one of the best physically at Anfield in all the training tests.

Comments like this prove that Milner still holds his boyhood club in the highest of regards, and he will be buzzing to see the stands rammed on Sunday afternoon.

We’re hoping it won’t be a happy return this weekend though, and he is leaving his boyhood town with no points and a defeat on the board.

The Whites dominated Liverpool at Elland Road last season, but only managed to draw, with the crowd behind us this time, it could be a very different story.
