Junior Firpo lacks credibility to clash with senior Leeds United players after incident – Sky Sports pundit
We’re delighted to welcome former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson as our exclusive columnist as each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Leeds United…
Paul Robinson has claimed Junior Firpo doesn’t have the credibility to go against the senior players at Leeds United after the left-back was involved in an incident with Luke Ayling.
Jeff Stelling highlighted the duo having a “serious disagreement” (Sky Sports Soccer Saturday, 11 March, 4.48pm) during the latter stages of the 2-2 draw with Brighton and Hove Albion.
Robinson has suggested that the likes of Ayling and Liam Cooper have to be respected due to their leadership qualities in the dressing room.

“I think Luke is one of the dressing room leaders and he’s not the captain but he’s a captain on the field and I think there’s always going to be a coming together when the pressure is on,” Robinson exclusively told MOT Leeds News.
“Players like Ayling and Liam Cooper need to be respected and whatever they say in the heat of the moment isn’t to be taken personally, it’s for the good of the team and you should listen to your senior players.
“Firpo hasn’t got the credibility or stance to go up against senior players.”

Firpo has started Leeds’ last six games and become a constant feature under Javi Gracia after an injury-plagued start to the season.
The 26-year-old defender will be looking to continue his run in the side when Leeds travel to the West Midlands to face Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday (18 March).
