Junior Firpo dubs Crysencio Summerville a ‘joke’ after Leeds United 3-2 win v Norwich City

Junior Firpo dubbed Crysencio Summerville a “joke” after the winger scored twice as Leeds United beat Norwich City 3-2 at Carrow Road on Saturday.

Leeds came from 2-0 down at half-time to win the game with Summerville, 21, scoring in the 77th and 85th minutes to secure all three points on Daniel Farke’s return to East Anglia.

Summerville has been in outstanding form this season and injured left-back Firpo took to Instagram to hail his teammate.

“Nah, the guy is a joke,” said Firpo.

“Some team!”

Incredible performance

At 2-0 down, Leeds fans didn’t really expect anything.

Big chances were being squandered and lady luck seemed to be on the side of the home team.

However, Farke made big chances in the second half, throwing on the likes of Patrick Bamford and Willy Gnonto to get his team back in the game.

At one point, Leeds had Summerville, Bamford, Gnonto, Dan James, Joel Piroe and Georginio Rutter all on the pitch as they pressed the Canaries.

It worked magnificently as Summerville netted twice after a Shane Duffy own goal to put Leeds third in the Championship and firmly cement their place as being in the hunt for automatic promotion.

Summerville is a great talent and we’re lucky to have him at this level.

However, we need to be wary because Fabrizio Romano reported on 21 October that Premier League clubs are starting to watch the ex-Feyenoord forward ahead of the January transfer window.
