Journalist shares 'indisputable fact' as Leeds United hunt deal for Birmingham City sensation George Hall

Brian Dick has suggested that it is an “indisputable fact” that Leeds United are interested in signing Birmingham City’s gifted teenager.

According to a report from TEAMtalk (13 December), the Whites are on the verge of securing the signature of the England Under-19 star.

Birmingham Mail journalist Dick reports that the Whites “have been in touch” with the Blues about Hall, but the Championship club are not keen to sell him at the moment.

“BirminghamLive understands Leeds’ interest to be an indisputable fact, they are keen on a player who is viewed by many as the pick of the current Wast Hills crop. They have been in touch with Blues about Hall,” wrote Dick for The Birmingham Mail.

Watch out for

Hall still has got 18 months left on his contract at Birmingham City.

The youngster has played 18 league matches so far, and the club want him to stay and sign an improved deal.

Birmingham are aware that there could be offers for the youngster in January. Every player has a price, but it will require a strong effort from the Whites to sign him.

Hall could be an extremely interesting signing for the Whites. He is an exceptionally talented player and he has been continually linked with a move to several top-flight clubs.

He could be someone worth taking the punt on, with Mateusz Klich likely to be on his way out of Elland Road. He won’t be a regular starter at the moment, but there is a talent there that can be nurtured.

While signing a striker would be a priority, the Whites also need someone who can be a goal-scoring threat from midfield.

He can definitely improve under Jesse Marsch, and it will be interesting to see if Leeds can sign him in January.

In other Leeds United news, the Whites are now scouting an attacker at the World Cup and a January move appears to be on the cards for them.
