Journalist issues update on Leeds United attacker Jack Harrison as he misses training
Jack Harrison was reportedly not involved in the full Leeds United training despite reporting back for pre-season at the start of July.
According to Yorkshire Evening Post’s Graham Smyth [6 July], he is still nursing his hip injury and is working his way back to full fitness.
The 26-year-old enjoyed a relatively injury-free season, playing in 36 out of their 38 games in the Premier League.

Will he stay?
Leeds may now be regretting not cashing in on Harrison when they could as Leicester were keen on signing him but the plug was pulled at the last minute.
It may have strengthened the Foxes, but given how he was playing, it did not seem like he would suddenly become a better player in the Premier League.
Now, in the Championship, there is a feeling that he’ll be among the best wide players if he stays and it can help him regain his confidence and become the key man once again.

The chances he stays are high until and unless there’s a team from the top flight knocking on his door and willing to offer him game time.
Any of the three promoted sides would love to have him at the club while there’s an argument that teams like Bournemouth, Fulham and West Ham could also have their playing XIs strengthened due to him.
It’s good to see him reporting back and he should be fit and ready to impress Daniel Farke soon who’ll have to speak to him and see where his mind is currently at.
In other Leeds United news, the club have been handed a boost to sign a Manchester United player this summer with Erik ten Hag likely to sanction his exit.
