Jose Mourinho tipped to accept Leeds manager job offer as shock news emerges
Leeds United could appoint Jose Mourinho to replace Daniel Farke after doubts emerged over his future.
The German secured promotion to the Premier League on Easter Monday (21 April) with a 6-0 win over Stoke, ending a two-year absence for the Elland Road outfit.
However, a new update could spell disaster for the 48-year-old despite reaching the Whites’ ambitions with two games to spare.

Mourinho move mooted after Farke sack update
Farke could be sacked by Leeds as concerns arise over his record in the top-flight, where he has won just six of 49 matches.
If the Whites decide to sack the former Norwich man, Darren Bent believes that Mourinho could be the perfect fit for the role.
Speaking on talkSPORT (22 April, 17:11 pm), he said: “Jose [Mourinho] might look at that and go, because there’s so much about Leeds. They’ve got this character and perception where everyone hates us. It feels like a match made in heaven.”
Leeds and Mourinho would be a fun partnership
There is no doubt that Mourinho would be a quality addition for the Whites, given his experience at the top level of the game, it would be a dream appointment for many supporters.
He could be the difference between survival or going straight back down and sometimes unpopular decisions need to be made for the long-term future.

Mourinho’s record in recent years is not great but he has vital knowledge of the highest levels and could transform Leeds and bring in better quality players, as well as bringing a new mentality to the squad that may prove vital for staying up.
He would also bring a similar energy to the beloved Marcelo Bielsa on the touchline and could galvanise the Yorkshire outfit with his ‘us v them’ way of thinking.
Concerns over Farke’s record among the elite is understandable, especially given the form of the newly-promoted sides in the top-tier this season but the German deserves a chance to continue his good work.
However, the opportunity to hire Mourinho may prove too much to turn down if it arises as the 49ers seek to keep their club in the top division.
Farke faces a nervous wait over his future but regardless of what happens, he can hold his head hight after guiding his side to the promised land.
