Jordan Davison joins Newcastle United after Leeds United exit earlier in July
Former Leeds United coach Jordan Davison has joined Premier League club Newcastle United after his Elland Road exit earlier this month.
Davison will oversee the analysis provision for the club’s Under-21s team, having left the Whites at the beginning of July.
At Elland Road, the coach began with the Under-16s before progressing into a role with the first team at the West Yorkshire club.

“I’m absolutely delighted to announce I’ll be joining my boyhood club Newcastle, overseeing the analysis provision for the U21s,” Davison wrote on Twitter.
“An opportunity I could never turn down, great to be back home. Looking forward to getting started and helping the academy progress even further!”
The post follows on from his message to Leeds on 5th July, when he wrote: “Thank you for everything Leeds.
“Starting off as the U16 analyst to finishing with the first team, I fell in love with the club. Very grateful for my journey, working with some amazing people along the way. Wishing everyone at the club all the very best for the future.”
Moving on
It’s been a summer of many people moving on at Leeds, primarily the players as they look for regular minutes away from the Championship.
That involves the likes of Robin Koch, Rodrigo, Marc Roca and Brenden Aaronson among others.
But there has also been plenty of changes in the dugout, namely the appointment of Daniel Farke as the club’s new manager.
The German clearly wants his own people working alongside him, which potentially played a role in Davison’s exit from Elland Road earlier this summer.
But the latter has now landed on his feet with a significant role at Newcastle, in what is a very exciting period for the club as they prepare for a massive season.
Not only are the Magpies aiming to establish themselves as a top Premier League club, but they will also be keen on a lengthy European run among the elite sides of the Champions League.
