John Terry shares what Leeds United will definitely do vs Chelsea regardless of Daniel Farke

John Terry believes that Chelsea will need to overcome Leeds United’s hostile atmosphere at Elland Road to have any chance of success.

Leeds welcome Chelsea to Elland Road in the Premier League on Wednesday.

Leeds’ recent confrontation ended in a 3-2 defeat to Manchester City, after Phil Foden netted the winner during stoppage time.

As a result, Daniel Farke has come under immense pressure at Leeds to deliver convincing performances and results moving forward.

Leeds against Chelsea could be decisive for Farke’s future, and the Whites will be expected to leave everything out there on 3 December.

John Terry warns Chelsea about Leeds’ aggressive approach

Farke will look to manage a performance that is both enjoyable and convincing against Chelsea on Wednesday.

The Whites are currently 18th in the Premier League, and a win would lift them out of the relegation zone, ahead of West Ham’s clash against Manchester United.

Chelsea legend Terry took to TikTok to warn his former side that the Whites will look to be on the “front foot” for the entirety of the game.

“Leeds away on Wednesday night. Always a tough fixture, but these are the ones we have to win if we want to be title contenders at the end of the season,” he said.

“Always a hostile atmosphere at Leeds. A team that’s always on the front foot, regardless of manager and personnel. That’s what they bring, so we need to match that for sure.”

The Blues are one of the best sides in the Premier League, but with Moises Caicedo suspended for three games, the Whites could breach their impressive defence.

As a result, there will be an element of hope amongst Leeds fans heading into the confrontation.

Victory against Chelsea will be hard to come by

Chelsea are unbeaten in their last five Premier League games, while Leeds’ loss against Man City made it four consecutive defeats.

A deeper delve into their stats shows it’s a complete mismatch:

Interestingly, the Whites have won 37 of the 88 games played against the Blues, while their opponents have only triumphed in 29 games.

However, Chelsea have won two of their last three meetings with Leeds’ last win being a 3-0 victory at Elland Road in 2022.

While Farke is under pressure at Leeds to deliver a convincing win against the Blues, the odds do not seem to be in his favour.
