Joe Rodon wows national media after what ‘Excellent’ Leeds United star did
Joe Rodon left everyone in Wales impressed after the Leeds United defender starred in his country’s 1-0 win over Montenegro.
The Dragons took on Robert Prosinecki’s side in the Nations League on 14 October at the Cardiff City Stadium.
Rodon started at the back alongside Swansea defender Ben Cabango, with Harry Wilson scoring the winning goal on a successful night.
Welsh media was delighted with Rodon, with Wales Online [14 October] giving him an 8/10, and commented: “Been in top form for his club and continued that at Cardiff City Stadium.
“So rarely lets you down. A top operator and another terrific performance. Some big interventions late on.”
Y Clw Pel-droed [14 October] gave the 26-year-old the same rating and wrote: “Rodon continued his fine form at the back for Wales as he won near enough everything that was sent into their box. He showed real leadership whilst partnered with the lesser experienced Cabango next to him.”
Joe Rodon has been in top form for Leeds United
Rodon has come into his own ever since his move to Leeds from Tottenham, initially on loan and then on a permanent transfer.
The Welsh national has become an integral member of the starting line-up under Daniel Farke and has cemented his place in the team with some resolute displays.

This season in the Championship, Rodon has recorded five clean sheets and averages 4.2 clearances per game, as per Sofascore.
In the current campaign, the defender has played 90 minutes in all but one game for the Whites in the league.
In light of the injury crisis at the club, it must be encouraging for Farke to have someone like the Welsh warrior at his disposal.
With a critical fixture against Sheffield United up next on 18 October, Rodon will hopefully maintain the confidence he has gained from his recent international fixtures and continue the fine form at Elland Road.
In other Leeds United news, Daniel Farke will be raging after what Brenden Aaronson is doing away from Leeds United.
