Joe Rodon handed Leeds ‘challenge’ ahead of Tottenham reunion
Joe Rodon has been one of Leeds’ key players behind their good start to the Premier League season.
Rodon scored his first Premier League goal for Leeds against Bournemouth, powering a header into the corner to grab the equaliser
Troy Deeney put Rodon into his team of the week after Saturday’s performance, with the Welshman showing his qualities in both boxes.
Tottenham, Rodon’s former side, travel to Elland Road on Saturday for the lunchtime kick-off, as Leeds look for their second home win of the season.
Ahead of the game, Daniel Farke has told the defender what he needs to continue to see from him.

Daniel Farke praises ‘excellent’ Joe Rodon
Rodon is a real leader for this Leeds team, and he is clearly an important player for Farke as well.
The German boss was speaking ahead of the Tottenham clash, and reflecting on how much the defender has grown since his spell in North London.
He said: “I think he’s a way better player than he was perhaps three years ago. And for that, I think he has proven in the first games that even on this level, he can perform on a top level.”
Farke was also keen to stress that Rodon needs to keep performing to the same level he’s shown early on.
He added: “But the message is to show this consistency, not just over a few weeks or a few months.”
“It’s important to show this over the whole course of the season. It’s more or less also the challenge for Joe right now.”
Rodon will face his former side on Saturday, with extra motivation to win, following an unsuccessful spell at Spurs
Revenge on mind for Rodon against Spurs
Rodon has been widely praised this season, following his stellar performances, showing he belongs at the Premier League level.
The Welshman was never really given much of a chance at Tottenham and was shipped out on loan twice during his spell there.
