Joe Donnohue left in awe of ‘grounded’ Leeds United ace Kalvin Phillips

Leeds United journalist Joe Donnohue has been left in awe of Kalvin Phillips after he found out what the midfielder has been up to during his Easter break.

The Whites enjoyed a rare weekend off last weekend as they didn’t have a game that allowed the players some personal time.

Donnohue hailed the “grounded” England international who took his mum and siblings away on holiday.

He tweeted: “Kalvin Phillips’ character has never been up for debate, but his latest only reinforces how grounded he remains. Given time off over the Easter weekend, he’s taken his mum and siblings on holiday – and still found time for a round or two with @cli5hy.”

One of a kind.

Leeds fans are running out of superlatives for Phillips – he is a very classy man. He continuously hits the nail on the head with seemingly everything he does.

He is just as good off the pitch as he is on the pitch and that says a lot given his excellent footballing ability.

The modern-day footballer is rarely seen doing things like this but the 26-year-old is just a local lad living the dream, isn’t he?

Earning the lucrative money footballers do can completely change some players but he has stayed the exact same person.

His values really resonate with the Whites fans making him the perfect poster boy for the club.

It has been hard to watch Leeds without him – and several other key men – in the team this season with him being sidelined for the majority of the campaign through injury.

Make no mistake, he will be back and hopefully better than ever next season as Jesse March looks to take his team to the next level.
