Joan Laporta shares 'good relationships' with Leeds United ace Raphinha

Barcelona president Joan Laporta has shared the latest details regarding Leeds United ace Raphinha’s reported move.

The Brazilian has agreed on a five-year deal with the Catalonian giants as reported by Spanish news outlet, Sport.

Fabrizio Romano shared the latest update on Twitter as Laporta shed light on the “good relationships” with Raphinha and his agent Deco.

He told RAC1 via Fabrizio Romano: “Raphinha is a player we really like and it’s true that Deco’s his agent. We’ve very good relationships.

“I want to clarify that Deco’s not paid by the club. He will just help us because he dominates the Brazilian market.”

It will be devastating for the Whites to lose their best player over the last couple of seasons.

Leeds desperately have to stay in the Premier League if they want to be paid a fee worthwhile for the 25-year-old.

Romano reported that if Jesse Marsch leads the team to relegation then Raphinha could exit for as little as £25million but if they remain in the topflight that price could rise to £75million.

Leeds; chiefs will certainly hold out for as much money as possible for this deal and despite losing a top-quality player there is a silver lining.

That money can be reinvested back into the squad and it could do with some fresh faces.

There is no doubt Rahpinha will be right at home at Barca. He is a classy player who will be greatly missed at Elland Road.

Is this the end of the Marcelo Bielsa era coming to fruition? Hopefully, the Whites can hold onto their other crucial players in what might be a very difficult summer transfer window as clubs circle.
