Jimmy Bullard slams Leeds United fans in Victor Orta defence post 2-2 Brentford draw
Jimmy Bullard has voiced his support for Victor Orta after the Leeds United director of football’s passionate outburst against Brentford on Sunday (5 December).
Patrick Bamford scored a last-gasp equaliser at Elland Road to claim a 2-2 draw for the Whites against the Bees, leading Orta to remonstrate with a fan in the stands.
The Spaniard repeatedly put his index finger to his mouth in a ‘shush’ gesture and made attempts to move closer before being blocked by those around him.

Sky Sports shared the video on their official Instagram account, leading ex-Wigan Athletic and Fulham midfielder Bullard to deliver his verdict in the comments.
“Proper director passionate and sometimes these fans need to be told,” the Soccer AM presenter wrote.

Emotion
Bullard’s comment may sound patronising to supporters who spent their hard-earned money and feel that they have the right to express their opinions, as long as they do not cross the line and become abusive.
But he looks to be enthused by Orta’s passion and emotion at a last-minute equaliser.
High-ranking figures among club’s boards can often be accused of being alien to supporters and not having the love for the club that they do.
But it’s hard to level that accusation at Orta who continually expresses his fervent support for the Whites.
The Athletic’s Phil Hay reported via his personal Twitter profile on Sunday (5 December) that, according to those in attendance, a Leeds fan was having a “pop” at Orta, with the Spaniard returning the favour after Bamford’s goal.
If that’s the case, what’s the big deal? Orta is within his rights to ‘give it back’ after such a big moment.
