Jim White was in complete agreement after a Leeds United fan called for VAR to be implemented in the Championship.

The second tier of English football is currently without the technology, though some fans are calling for it to be brought in, especially after a series of refereeing calls were slammed in recent matchdays.

Derby County were the biggest losers from the latest round of matches, having conceded controversial goals against Norwich City after the ball was seen to go out of play.

Speaking live via talkSPORT on Monday (30 September, 11:58am), Leeds fan, Kevin spoke about the importance of correct marginal decisions as a "single decision can dictate whether a team is relegated or not".

White simply responded: "Well said, great call" with Martin Keown adding: "Well said. We've got a sensible caller. I think it's disrespectful to the Championship not to do it. Why can't they have it?"

Leeds United in favour of VAR technology in the Championship?

More and more teams seem to be missing out on obvious decisions due to the absence of VAR in the Championship, though others are pointing fingers at the quality of refereeing instead.

Of course, referees are human too, which means there is bound to be human error every so often. However, the amount of criticism aimed at officials has only increased.

Daniel Farke's men have already been involved in their fair share of controversial moments, with the fan bringing up an incorrect penalty decision last season that could have been the difference between promotion and being stuck in the Championship.

Either way, Leeds will be hoping to play in a division with VAR next term as Farke looks to secure promotion back to the top tier at the second time of asking.

The Whites are currently two points off the top of the table, with West Brom leading the pack after the opening seven matches of the season.
