Jim White shares agent update on West Ham attempt to sign Leeds United star Kalvin Phillips
Jim White has shared a message from an agent said to be involved in West Ham United’s bid to sign Leeds United star Kalvin Phillips.
The talkSPORT host revealed that a deal was nearly in place for €50million with €10million in add-ons, adding up to just below £50million.
White then insisted that too many agents and individuals were involved and any potential deal got complicated in January.

Speaking live on talkSPORT’s White and Jordan this morning (03 February), the host shared a message he received about a proposed deal.
“An agent who was involved in all of that messaged me saying, I think this was Phillips or maybe Nunez – €45million plus 5million euros in add ons,” he said.
“A deal was in place for the other player, which I presume is Phillips €50million plus 10million euros in add ons, but there are too many agents involved, too many individuals involved and the whole thing got confused and didn’t happen.”

No chance.
West Ham may have had a deal in place to fire this offer over, but there was no chance that the Whites were ever going to accept.
Phillips was spotted laughing along with Raphinha over on social media this week, at the proposed £50million price tag for both.
The Yorkshire Pirlo has burst onto another new level over the past year, shining at the EUROs with England, and that offer is simply embarrassing.
If the Hammers want nearly £200million, as suggested by White himself, then surely Phillips is worth more than double the suggested fee.
West Ham are kidding themselves if they think they were even close to a breakthrough in January, and they will need to look elsewhere quite quickly.
