Jim White makes Leeds United mention ahead of potential Rangers v West Ham Europa League final
Jim White referenced the Leeds United v Rangers Champions League clash from 1992 ahead of a potential England v Scotland Europa League final.
With both Rangers and West Ham in the semi-finals, there have been talks of having an all-British European final.
For White, the fact that it could be Scotland taking on England makes it all the sweeter as he believes that Scottish teams tend to have an edge.
Speaking on talkSPORT, Simon Jordan said, “We would want it to be Rangers and West Ham in the final, not because of England v Scotland, because these two teams deserve to be there for the season they’ve had.”
To which White responded, “We are going to make it the battle of Britain and Scottish teams tend to come through in these and as Rangers did against Leeds all those years ago.”

What White is talking about is the second round European second leg clash between Gers and the Whites.
Mark Hately scored an early goal for the Scottish side and Ally McCoist doubled their advantage.
Eric Cantona scored a late goal to give Leeds some hope but it wasn’t to be as they lost the contest 2-1.
The Elland Road faithful certainly will be missing days like these when their side was a force to be reckoned with.
They’re now finding themselves fighting relegation battles instead of fighting for silverware in Europe.
Hopefully, things take a turn for the better in the coming seasons and the Whites can establish themselves as European regulars before challenging for trophies once again.
