Jim White could not believe it when he was told Leeds United beat Liverpool
Jim White has shared that he could not believe it when he was told that Leeds United had beaten Liverpool 2-1 at Anfield on Saturday 29th October.
The talkSPORT host admitted that he was on a train back to London from Newcastle when he was told the result after Crysencio Summerville poked home the winner.
White sent all of the credit to Leeds and Jesse Marsch for their antics at Anfield, picking up their first win since August in the process and releasing a lot of pressure.
Speaking live on talkSPORT on Monday 31st October [10:50 am], White started the segment on the game by sharing that he hadn’t watched the game live at Anfield.
“I couldn’t believe it,” he said.
“Leeds United all credit to them, went to Liverpool and won, scoring right at the death 2-1.”

Wow.
No one expected Leeds to go to Anfield and win, making it all that much more sweeter.
Even some of our own fans were questioning the squad and Marsch ahead of this one with no real hope of picking up a result, so it explains the absolute mayhem when Summerville hit the back of the net.
It was deserved too.
Yes, Illan Meslier made numerous saves, but Leeds also battered the goal of Alisson and hit the woodwork, with the chances more clearcut than the likes of Darwin Nunez taking shots with the keeper at his feet.
Marsch knows this will mean nothing though if Leeds do not go out and beat Bournemouth next time out, with Spurs then to come to finish off the Premier League before the World Cup.
We love imagining the shock on the faces of rival fans and those in the media such as White when they watched that or saw the result at Anfield.
