Jim Beglin stunned by what Leeds United defender Diego Llorente did v Manchester City
Jim Beglin slams Diego Llorente for his role in building up from the back that nearly handed Manchester City their opener against Leeds United on Tuesday.
The Citizens ran out 7-0 winners on the night, but it could have been in double figures had they been more clinical.
A good example of that is in the first half, when Llorente tried to bring the ball from defence and made a woeful pass that saw Bernardo Silva go clean through on goal.
Discussing this on Premier League’s world feed, Beglin, a BT Sport pundit said, “It was a shocking attempt to pass it out by Llorente. A rare, rare mess up by Bernardo.”
Awful day at the office
It was one of those nights for Leeds where everything did not go according to plan.

While it rarely takes place in the Premier League, it seemed like it was boys against men.
It gave the Whites a good reality check as to where they are in terms of the food chain in the English top flight and they’ve got plenty to improve.
Llorente, like most players, did not seem up for the fight and felt flustered since minute one.
For a side that beat the same opposition last season, despite being a man short, this was an awful display.
Marcelo Bielsa will be wasting his time if he sits analysing everyone that went wrong and instead needs to focus on getting his side ready for the Arsenal clash.
