Jesse Marsch to split £48m bonus at Leeds United with squad and staff
Jesse Marsch will divide a £48million survival bonus at Leeds United if he can avoid relegation to the Championship, according to The Mirror.
The newspaper reported via their print edition today [8 April, page 53] that the bonus has been reported in Leeds’ annual accounts and it’ll be paid to him, his players and the staff if they manage to stay up.
Leeds are six points clear of 18th-placed Burnley, as it stands, after winning seven points in their last three games.

Big bonus
Leeds’ winning safety will be worth a lot more to them than £48million so it’s great to see that the club is going to reward the players and the staff this summer if they do manage to stay up.
We’d be shocked if Leeds go down now.
We admit that it’s not over because at the end of the day, we’re only six points clear of the relegation zone and Burnley and Everton have both played two fewer games than us.

However, if Leeds beat Watford on Saturday and Everton keep on losing in their awful run of upcoming fixtures, you’d imagine that the bottom six will eventually become the bottom four, before the bottom three is confirmed.
Sacking Marcelo Bielsa was a tough decision for the Elland Road board but it’s a decision that has paid off based on what we’ve seen so far.
Marsch has been superb and has galvanised a group of players who were too stuck in their ways under Bielsa to do anything else.
As such, a big pay cheque will be handed out to them at the end of the season if they keep up this form.
