Jesse Marsch still in disagreement over Leeds United v Brentford decision
Jesse Marsch still doesn’t believe he should have been sent off in Leeds United against Brentford on 3 September but chose not to appeal it.
The American was sent to the stands after expressing his frustration at not being awarded a penalty in the 5-2 defeat at the Community Stadium and will therefore watch the home game against Aston Villa on Sunday from the stands.
He was asked in his pre-match press conference about his thoughts on the decision and BBC broadcaster Adam Pope shared the answer via his personal Twitter account.
“JM on his suspension – disagrees with it, the red card & the lack of a penalty. He accepts and respects the decision so didn’t appeal it. He will be on the gantry v Villa but can see the players at halftime.”
Leeds United are just one point above their visitors on Sunday but have played one game less after their trip to Manchester United was postponed prior to the international break.
Should have appealed
If Marsch doesn’t agree with the referee’s and FA’s decision, then why has he just accepted it and not at least tried to get it overturned?
This does not sound like the Leeds way whatsoever because he would not expect his players to give up the fight at any stage if they deserve more or not so why has he not done the same?

It could be a huge difference and hindrance for the Whites with Marsch up in the stands rather than on the touchline barking his instructions to anyone who can hear him.
He will still be allowed in the dressing room before and during the game but he only gets 15 minutes at half-time and with everything he might be able to see from up high, he may not get it all across.
Despite this, it should be a game that Leeds win with Steven Gerrard’s Villans not performing to the levels many expected of them and injuries to key players severely impacting his selection.
In other Leeds United news, former Elland Road favourite Tony Dorigo has been waxing lyrical about one Whites man after a “remarkable” achievement this week.
