Jesse Marsch responds to Leeds United fan after huge 2-1 win v Liverpool

Jesse Marsch was in the headlines for all of the right reasons over the weekend as his Leeds United finally returned to winning ways with a famous 2-1 victory against Liverpool.

The American was under heavy pressure going into the game at Anfield, but he certainly won over some of his critics with a brilliant performance against Jurgen Klopp’s side.

Marsch was captured by Sky Sports cameras going wild in his celebrations, something he has admitted to his wife questioning upon returning home.

Responding to a fan on his personal Instagram account after a new post, Marsch still doesn’t know what happened in the spur of the moment as he wheeled away.

“Honestly, I have no idea,” he said.

“My wife has been asking me since the match what is wrong with me?”

Nothing.

Everything can admit that they have nothing but nice things to say about Marsch and how he has represented himself during his time at Elland Road.

It was brilliant to see him finally get his rewards, with some of the performances in that nine-match streak without a win simply harsh and undeserving.

Of course, it wasn’t all amazing, but he has certainly bought himself the chance to stick around until the World Cup and hopefully pick up another couple of wins.

Picking up three points against Bournemouth is now absolutely huge to make this a consistent streak of picking up points and rising that Premier League table before the break.

Seeing that celebration again will hopefully only mean that we can consolidate ourselves in mid-table, rather than around the bottom three and having to wait over a month to return.

To answer his question, there is nothing wrong with Marsch, now let’s get behind the squad before this break.
