Jesse Marsch makes decision on Jack Harrison future at Leeds United after two failed Leicester City bids
Leeds United are planning to enter into talks with winger Jack Harrison regarding a new contract at Elland Road, after Leicester City’s two failed January bids, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.
The 26-year-old looked set to leave Elland Road during the January window, with the Foxes hold a firm interest in the former Manchester City academy star.
Leicester submitted a £20million bid [David Ornstein, 28 January] amid speculation that the Whites had to release the attacker to fund further incomings.
But after failed approaches from the Foxes, it now seems as if Jesse Marsch’s key man could remain in Yorkshire for the long haul.
Mo Ibrahim, writing for Di Marzio, took to his personal Twitter account [1 February] to report the update suggesting that the Whites are preparing to hold talks regarding a new deal.

Harrison is a crucial player for Leeds and Marsch, and while the attacking department in the squad looks well-stocked with the recent signings of Wilfried Gnonto, Georginio Rutter and Luis Sinisterra, the 26-year still remains a vital component in the Whites weaponry.
The fact that the club is desperate to open talks in regards to a new deal will be great news for both the manager and the Whites faithful, holding onto a player who could prove decisive in their ambitions this season.
30 goals and 29 assists in 186 outings at Elland Road show just how crucial he is to the club, and his qualities in the attacking third can only aid Marsch’s quest to keep the Whites in the Premier League.
Harrison’s versatility is a key component too, as he’s well-versed in all three of the attacking positions behind the striker and he rarely gets injured too.
The player’s character, mentality, attacking quality and experience is required at Elland Road, especially with the squad going through quite a transformation currently but more importantly, he is arguably Marsch’s most valued player right now.
