Jesse Marsch in 'anxious' Crysencio Summerville wait as Leeds United ace limps off v Elche
Jesse Marsch is facing an “anxious wait” to discover the extent of Leeds United attacker Crysencio Summerville’s injury, as reported by Daily Mail.
Goals from Joe Gelhardt and Mateusz Klich sealed a stunning comeback win for the Whites against Spanish side Elche on Thursday [8 December].
Summerville was forced off with an ankle injury in the 11th minute, and he required treatment after a tackle from Elche defender John Donald.
Huge blow
Despite the win, the injury to Summerville must have dampened the mood around the camp.
The Dutchman has been in great form this season, scoring in four successive Premier League games prior to the World Cup break.

The Whites are short of options upfront as Patrick Bamford has undergone a groin operation, and he is unlikely to be available for two to three weeks.
It was an ill-tempered friendly where youngster Sonny Perkins was also forced off by injury.
Summerville, 21, has really made massive progress under Jesse Marsch, and the club recently posted a video of him on Twitter [7 December] where he was seen scoring a goal in training.
With Bamford also out injured, Marsch will hope that Summerville’s injury is not serious and that he can make himself available for selection when Premier League action resumes towards the end of the month.
The mini-injury crisis is another timely reminder that the Whites need to bolster their forward department in the January window.
