Jesse Marsch bound to sell some ex-Championship players at Leeds United
Leeds United are bound to sell some of their former Championship players with Jesse Marsch in charge, claims Beren Cross.
In his LeedsLive Q&A, Cross wrote that should they get relegated then a majority of the players who were there with them in the second division two seasons ago will look to stay at the club and deliver promotion again.
However, he claims that there are bound to be sales after any new manager takes over the reins.

Cross said, “If Leeds are relegated I would wager a large number of the players who were with them last time in the second tier will remain there to try and get them out.
“The assumption has to be there will be a bigger unit next season with generally more experience. Sales are to be expected in any regime change and there are bound to be players Marsch does not see a use for.
“The ex-Championship players are approaching 30-years-old or older and will know they are approaching the end of their peak years.”
Makes sense
A number of players at Leeds have been at the club because of Bielsa’s loyalty towards them.
He knew that they had adapted to his style of play and things had gotten stale in his final few months.

Marsch will come into the club with fresh ideas so it will be interesting to see how he deals with these players.
Some managers tend to rely on the players at the club for their first few months while others opt for a more radical approach.
Only time will tell how the American handles the squad and the longer he spends with the players on the training pitch, the better will be his understanding about who he wants in the team for next season.
