Jeff Stelling suggests Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa could be next sacked after Dean Smith
Jeff Stelling suggests Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa may be facing the sack next after Aston Villa parted company with Dean Smith on Sunday.
After five straight Premier League defeats, it was confirmed that Smith has left Villa Park with the Midlands club just two points clear of the relegation zone.
Daniel Farke was also relieved of his duties at Norwich on Saturday while in the Championship, Middlesbrough sacked Neil Warnock and have since replaced him with Chris Wilder.
Sky Sports host Stelling has now suggested that Everton’s Rafa Benitez and Leeds’ Bielsa could be the next on the chopping block.
“Rafa and Bielsa might be worried,” said Stelling via his personal Twitter account.
“I know, I know, Leeds fans. Only (half) joking.”

Bielsa isn’t unsackable – no manager is.
However, why would Andrea Radrizzani get rid of a manager who has played such a massive role in his Leeds revoluation and also get rid of a manager who’s had very back luck with injuries this season?
Villa sacking Smith isn’t a surprise. However, it is harsh.
In the summer, they lost Jack Grealish.
Villa were basically a one-man team and even spending that £100million on replacements was never going to guarantee similar results or even an improvement.
Yes, they’ve lost five in a row but they’ve had some big chances. We doubt they would have been relegated under Smith – and we don’t think we’ll get relegated this season either.
Bielsa’s job should be safe, no matter what Stelling or anyone else thinks.
