Jeff Stelling sets up major Saturday for Leeds United in Premier League
Jeff Stelling has cranked up the pressure on Leeds United and Everton ahead of the Premier League weekend kicking off on Saturday.
Burnley play first this week when they take on Aston Villa and could go three points ahead of the Whites.
Everton would be five points behind the Clarets and it could be made a two-horse race in the final couple of weeks.
Speaking live on Sky Sports Soccer Saturday [07 May, 12:01 pm], Stelling set up what could be a nervous day ahead.
“What a day it could be in the Premier League,” he said.
“Watford could go down, and Burnley could crank up the pressure on Leeds and Everton.”
We are trying not to rely on others too much, but it is about time that another side did us a favour in the Premier League.
Aston Villa have been one of our biggest rivals in recent years, and the Whites are looking for them to go and do them a favour at Turf Moor.
Burnley have been in brilliant form, but not playing amazing football – you have to remember, they were only minutes from defeat at Watford last week.
They could crumble in these final four games when the pressure appears to be slightly off, and that could play into our hands.
Burnley losing could be the motivation that we need going into the huge games against Arsenal and Chelsea.
One positive result in those two could change everything and we have to do the business ourselves, as well as others doing us favours.
What a nervous weekend lies ahead yet again.
